What is Microsoft 365?
Microsoft 365 is Microsoft’s cloud-based productivity and collaboration platform. It includes familiar Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), cloud email (Exchange Online), file storage (OneDrive, SharePoint), team collaboration (Teams), and security features—all delivered as a subscription service.
For most businesses, Microsoft 365 has replaced on-premise servers, eliminating the need to maintain Exchange servers and file servers while providing modern collaboration tools.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in Microsoft 365?
Microsoft 365 bundles include Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), cloud services (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams), and security features. Higher tiers add advanced security, compliance, and analytics. We help you choose the right plan for your needs.
How long does migration take?
Small organizations (under 50 users) typically migrate in 2-4 weeks. Larger organizations or complex environments take longer. We plan migrations carefully to minimize disruption, often running old and new systems in parallel during transition.
What happens to our old emails?
All existing email is migrated to Microsoft 365. Historical emails, calendar items, and contacts transfer with their original dates. We can migrate from Exchange Server, Google Workspace, or other email systems.
Do we need to change our email addresses?
No—you keep your existing email addresses and domain. We configure Microsoft 365 to receive email for your domain. External contacts won't notice any change.
What about security?
Microsoft 365 includes substantial security features, but they must be configured correctly. We enable MFA, configure conditional access policies, set up threat protection, and implement data loss prevention appropriate for your needs.
Does Microsoft backup our data?
Microsoft provides high availability (redundancy) but limited backup. Deleted items are recoverable for limited periods. For true point-in-time backup protection, we recommend third-party Microsoft 365 backup solutions.
